A Commitment to Helping New Nonprofits Get Started
If you’re passionate about a cause and interested in forming a nonprofit organization, we can assist you with getting your organization incorporated and obtaining your tax-exempt status. For new nonprofits, Deborah Buyer Law offers startup packages on a fixed fee basis.
Our fixed fee package includes all of the legal steps required to incorporate the nonprofit organization and gain tax-exempt status. This includes:
Drafting and filing the Articles of Incorporation
Drafting Conflict of Interest Policy and Disclosure Form, Whistleblower Policy and Records Retention Policy
Drafting and filing the IRS exemption application (Form 1023-EZ or Form 1023) and related statements
Representation before the IRS and response to IRS follow-up questions
Charities Bureau Registration
We will determine a fixed fee after consultation with you. Our fee is based on the nature of the proposed organization’s activities, the novelty and complexity of the organization’s proposed activities and the level of documentation and follow-up that will be required to obtain exemption.
Please contact us for an initial consultation to begin the process of creating your new nonprofit organization.
